Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OEM_ (“we”, “us”) handles
information in connection with the mobile game Outpop (the
“Game”, bundle ID com.oem.outpop). By using the Game, you agree to the
practices described here.
The short version
- You can play the whole Game without an account.
- Signing in with Google is optional — it lets you back up your progress to the cloud and appear on the leaderboards under your display name.
- We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the Game is played.
- We show ads through Google AdMob, which may use an advertising identifier.
- You can turn analytics off in the Game’s Settings, control ad personalization through the consent prompt and your device settings, and delete your account and all cloud data at any time.
Information we collect
We do not collect personal information that directly identifies you. Through the third-party services below, the following may be processed:
- Usage & gameplay data — events such as starting or completing a level, losing a heart, using a hint, or changing language; and aggregate progress (for example, your highest level reached).
- Device & app information — device model, operating system version, app version, language, and approximate region (derived from IP, not precise location).
- Advertising identifiers — a resettable identifier (such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple’s IDFA) may be used by our advertising partner to serve ads, subject to your consent and device settings.
- Account information (only if you choose to sign in) — when you sign in with Google, we receive a Google account identifier and your Google profile display name, and we create a unique player ID for you. We store your display name and your highest level reached so your progress can sync across devices and appear on the leaderboards.
Analytics — Google Firebase
We use Google Firebase Analytics to measure engagement and improve the Game. The data is used in aggregate and helps us understand which levels are too hard, which features are used, and whether the Game runs well across devices. You can disable analytics at any time using the analytics toggle in the Game’s Settings; when disabled, the Game stops sending analytics events.
Advertising — Google AdMob
The Game displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, including occasional full-screen ads and optional rewarded ads (for example, to gain an extra heart or a hint). Our advertising partner may use device and advertising identifiers to deliver and measure ads.
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we present a consent request (via Google’s User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are shown, in line with applicable requirements. You can also limit ad tracking through your device’s privacy settings.
Accounts & sign-in (optional)
The Game is fully playable without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, we use Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication to verify your identity. We receive a Google account identifier and your Google profile display name; we do not receive or store your Google password. Signing in lets you back up your progress and take part in the leaderboards. You can sign out at any time in the Game’s Settings.
Cloud save
When you are signed in, we store a small player profile in Google Cloud Firestore — your display name and your highest level reached — so your progress is backed up and can be restored on another device. If you are not signed in, your progress is saved only on your device.
Leaderboards
If you are signed in, your scores (such as your highest level, points, and streaks) are submitted to daily, weekly, and all-time leaderboards and displayed publicly alongside your display name. Other players can see your display name and score; they cannot see your email address or other account details. Scores are submitted through a protected Firebase Cloud Function guarded by Firebase App Check to keep the boards fair. If you do not want to appear on the leaderboards, do not sign in, or delete your account (see below) to remove your scores.
Deleting your account & cloud data
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the Game, or by request via our account deletion page if you have uninstalled the app. Deletion removes your player profile, all of your leaderboard scores across every board, and your sign-in identity. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
Third-party services
The Game relies on services from Google. Their handling of data is governed by their own policies:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
- Google AdMob & advertising
- Firebase Privacy and Security (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, App Check)
Children
Outpop is a family-friendly game suitable for a general audience. It is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Data retention
Analytics and advertising data are retained by the respective providers (Google) according to their standard retention settings. If you sign in, your player profile and leaderboard scores are retained for as long as your account exists and are deleted when you delete your account (some records may be retained briefly afterward for fraud and abuse prevention). We do not maintain a separate database of personal information about players who do not sign in.
Your choices
- Play without signing in — an account is never required.
- Sign out at any time in the Game’s Settings.
- Delete your account and all cloud data (profile and leaderboard scores) from Settings → Delete account, or via our account deletion page.
- Disable analytics in the Game’s Settings.
- Manage or reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.
- Adjust your ad-personalization consent (where the consent prompt is shown).
